Ya so I was wondering how many firefighters and medics and E's do we have on the forum. and where everybody is located, and see what everybody does diff. like west coast fire and EMS is about the same, where east coast fire and ems is seperate. I personally am a medic on the west coast now going throught my firefighter I & II thanks for everybodys time.

My wife Vanessa is going to school to be an EMT. She want's to work on becoming an EMT-P and later when she's eligible get a job as a flight paramedic on a chopper.

years ago i had FF I II and III and EMT I but that was almost 15 years ago in the marine corps. i was also qualified on aircraft and the space shuttle due to being stationed at an alternate landing site.

Up in this country we all know how to take care of one another. I have packed folks out that took 8 weeks one year. I am gratfull to my bud MATT who is a flight nurse for Prov. Life flight and my bud Gordy Ak national guard. Bye the time I had VHF contact I already had the men ready for extraction. Good question though JIM. Nessy has a can to open. Michael

I am a Captain of a 3 man engine company. We are all EMT-D certified. We are responsible for covering over 160 square miles that covers rugged mountains anr rural ranch lane. Many of our patients are transported by air because of time constraints. It is well over an hour each way for the ground ambulance to respond.

Firefighter/EMT-B, in PA but not out here at school (MI)

i'm a Firefighter/MRT in Ct been doing it for a long time wouldn't trade it for the world

EMT-B in Virginia. Im 17 so im pretty new but really enjoy it

FireFighter, here, we have seperate EMS from the Fire in my City,

start my Cert FF 2 on wed night this week so looking foward to that. Been on the department 7 years now.

take care and stay Safe.

sublime out.

good luck to you guys taking FF I & II its a tough test, but worth it in the long run, had mine for about 2 years now.

Volunteer Firefighter and EMT/B here. All ran from the same department.

30 year career FF, assigned to an engine company/HazMat division. 250 man department in SW Connecticut. EMS is separate but, we do use the "first responder" program on specific EMS calls.

Held a EMT-B for a while. But that was many, many, moons ago. Never got into the firefighter stuff but I have several friends who are. And one who makes big money as a flight nurse/paramedic out of Mesa, Az.
