I got about 150k on my 1987 2wd 2.0L Ford Ranger, the drag link and inner tie rod has been replaced(greasable fittings) but the outter tie rods are the originals.
I've checked for steering play, and they seem to be tight.
I have manual steering and have noticed that wider tires than the originals have been installed (205's instead of 195's) the steering on this truck is bear, also I got some noticable play(gearbox?)
I would like to get the front end aligned when I get tires, should I replace these tie rods? Are they at the end of their service life?
