How in the world????

I pulled an inline 6 in a chevy van once. The factory service manual called for removal through the sliding door, which involved removing the transmission, dismantling pretty much the entire interior, and the use of dolleys and pulleys. It was nuts. It was like a 3 man job that took a 4 or 5 days.

I ended up saying screw that and chopped the radiator support off and pulled the engine straight out of the nose. Welded it back in when I got the new motor in. No one ever noticed. When they asked how I did that job by myself in 2 days I just said "shhhhhhhh" and walked away.

Owner of this RV was the owner of the dealership... so that was a no-go.

Oh it was a Class A. I thought it was a class C (van front).

Yeah ive never had to yank a Class A motor. Screw that.

Alwaysfloored was on a different RV.

I forget exactly what it was, I was probably 12 at the time but we had a huge old winnebago style camper (flat nose with no hood at all). The motor got removed by unbolting the crossmember and lowering it from underneath. I know it was a dodge 440 engine because it's still in my barn packed in grease. I don't know if the dodge engines were like gm where big trucks and motor homes got the 4 bolt mains. I remeber my dad told me to pack it up and store it because it was special for some damn reason.

My dad had a 70sish winnebago like that with a 318. It was a "HD 318". I assume the 440 was also, what made it "HD"....no idea.
