How hard would it be to find a soild Shadow Edition bed ?

Since I'm fixing my breathing life back into my 87 Xcab 4WD, I've been thinking about a Shadow Edition bed for it. The bed on it is in excellent shape minus the surface rust on primer that was supposed to be sprayed with epoxy. The guy I bought it from was supposed to spray it with epoxy in his bodyshop, but cheaped out on me and used regular primer. I'm ready to take the bed off and spray it myself and just thought I'd see how hard it would be to find a soild Shadow bed because I think that stepside look rocks on the 87's. Any help is greatly appreciated

its gonna be pretty hard from what i have heard since there werent very many made i think there was a guy on here that restored one but not sure

Good luck.I have been looking for one for almost 5 years.I have found several on the other side of the country.And by the time I bought it and either payed to have it shipped or drove to get it the cost was way to high.I have been thinking of pulling some molds of the bed I have.The inside box would be easy to make.I even thought about making some to sell but the final cost would probably be more than a ranger owner would pay.

Jovibuilt, did you check out that link? I texted the guy earlier about it, and it's in Calhoun GA. Wouldn't be that far for you. Looked a few minutes ago and the add had been taken down. If you want the guys number to try and contact him LMK, I still have it in my phone.
