how fast in 4x4 high

Just a question and local laws non-withstanding, I own my very first 4x4 vehicle (a 2010 ranger sport 4x4).

I am curious about 4x4 high. Can I use it on dry pavement? And how fast can I go in 4x4 high before i start to damage components? 50km/hr, 100 km/hr?

I know I will use it in winter but i just wanna make sure I dont damage anything if I forget to turn it off when i get back on dry pavement. Also to know that I wont break anything if i drive on the highway doing 100km/hr

the owners manual says 55mph. i wouldnt use it on dry pavement though.

Yeah, don't use it on dry pavement except to exercise it once a month or so and only when you're going in a straight line. Same thing on wet pavement, when the wheels can't slip then don't use it. A warning light will come on when it's in 4wd. I will shift into 4-Hi once a month or so and drive straight down my street for a block just so the shift motor on the transfer case gets used. Don't turn the wheels when you do it though, that would be bad.

I have gone as fast as 55 mph in 4-Hi on snow-covered roads with the cruise control on.

I've don't 100km/hr for about an hour and a half in 4x4 hi with my 91 ranger with no problems.....but that was because I bent my rear drive shaft badly wheeling and had to drive back home with just front wheel drive.

And yes, as the others stated 4x4 on dry pavement is a no no.
