How do you get this out

1987 Bronco II fuel pump on frame, I have removed fuel lines and elect connections, cant get to the two bolts that hold it to the mount that goes on the frame, is there any other way to get it out other than removing the drive shaft that goes to the front dif ? Thanks

you might be able to get it if you jack up the front driverside frame rail, and let the front diff droop.

I think jacking up the frame would help a lot. Even if you just pick the front end off the ground and let it droop it should be just enough. Otherwise, I guess the Drive shaft would have to be removed

Hmm I didn't need to remove mine to replace it. Maybe I have more driveshaft angle?

in reality the driveshaft for him is what? 4 bolts??? b/c it should be slip yoke on the other side.. right?

I've had mine out at least twice and never lifted it or taken the driveshaft down.

yup he has that rubber piece on the t,c end... 4 5/16 bolts pop out the joint and slide it out.

Thanks to all of you for the great info, I think the reason mine is harder I forgot to mention mine is auto trans, the shift linkage is above the pump creating even less room to move it. I did jack it up and the dr shaft did drop enough for me to get it out. Thanks again.
