While I'm really getting to like putting on bigger tires + lifts. I all ways have to figure out a different way to get in my truck. How do some of you other guys do it? Some of the trucks don't even have side steps?

I have to duck a little because the roof of my truck is 51" tall when its parked.

I have to hick one leg up and then grab the steering wheel and pull myself up, I've got running boards, but I've got to get them mounted.

i got boards but i dont use them. i just hike up a leg and use the steering wheel to hoist myself inside too. my girl uses the boards but shes tiny, she needs them..haha

I never used the running boards on my expo either, I always held the wheel or drivers side Oh shit bar abd jumped butt first. If a lifted truck is too much for you I guess you and I can always trade my stock wheels for your 'bigger' stuff LOL.

BTW, you have any pics or specs on your truck>?

I slide in, the steering wheel is low so I have to manuever around it.

I have to use the stainless steel nerf bars and I have and pull up on the steering wheel to climb on up into my lifted Ranger!!!! I wish I had a grab bar on the drivers side like the passenger side has. Our 03 Jeep Grand Cherokee has them on both sides!!! I hate not having a grab handle on my side of the truck.....lol

depending on where i am in relation to the driver door, i get a good running start, slide over hood and then jump in dukes of hazzard style.......my doors arent welded shut though

I have a friend drive it to the local warehouse and have him park it next the loading dock. Then all I have to do is step in.

Every time I step up, it feels like I'm gonna have crotchal blow out in my pants..so I hillbillified my truck:

Temporary until I make rock sliders...then the chain will be welded to the side of the sliders.

my '04 has them on both sides:thefinger:

I feel like running boards are more for looks than anything...at least on stock trucks. Theyre not much lower than the door
