I have only had 2h and 4h since I dropped the tranny to put in the new clutch. It goes into neutral, but doesn't go far enough to drop into 4lo. My haynes manual says I need to adjust the linkage if its ever removed, but has a very vague dscription of how and no pictures. Anyone know how, or have pics of what their talking about?
Its the first nice day here that I have free, so I'm finally gonna get to work on it.

mine doesnt adjust i dont think? this is the first ive heard about it

The linkage itself doesn't adjust, the shift gate does.

in the mean time, pull the shifter briskly, and there should be enough momentum to click it the next notch into low, i've had to do this before.

There are two bolts holding the shifter onto the adapter, the small bolt hole is elongated for adjustment.

Ok awesome. I figured I would just need to reposition that metal guide the shifter slides in, but the Haynes manual made it sounds way different. Didn't get to work on it today anyway... women issues :annoyed:
