Is it just the window crank, a few screws and plastic pins that pop off? My truck is only a 2007 and I don't want to damage anything. Its been my experience that sometimes door panels will actually break where the pins are held on.

I have a rattle noise coming from the door area and I want to just take a look in the door. Maybe, just maybe add power windows/ locks while I'm at it.

there are a couple screws down near the bottom aswell. then use a "retainer fork" to pry the retainers loose. make sure you lift up because it is also held in place by the top of the panel itself.

actually, i cant remember if it has retainers or just slides up..... i just had 3 doors apart this week from different cars.... lol.

the door handle in my 06 had a few screws in it as well...its like a 2 part door panel...if it seems like it takes too much effort to take off...it probably shouldnt.

There should be 2 screws that hold the pull handle on, a screw holding the panel behind that and a screw at the lower bottom corner. After that you need to lift the whole panel straight up.

exactly what he said. :icon_thumby:

I think the rattle is the wheel that my seatbelt whinds up on jiggling. Its got alot of play and today I stuck a rag in it and drove around. The noise seemed gone.

I'm currently putting power doors in my mine and if you have the plain panels like I do then there will be a philips screw at the bottom corner and a screw in the handle, then you have to pop off the cover on the window crank, it doesnt come completely off so just pop it and spin it out of your way, then there will be a small torx screw inside the crank. after you have all of the screws out just push up on the whole panel and it pops straight up and out. then there ya go however you'll have to take off the big sticker thing on the door to look in it then tape it back on.
