How common are 3rd gen sunroofs?

It's something I've been looking for while I've been checking out other Rangers I like (honestly, I want a truck JUST like mine but 4x4 and without a damn oil leak) and so far the only one I've seen is mine. How common (or rare) are they?

People see me in parking lots and mention something about it being different, or just something they barely ever see.

No, it was factory. I'm about 99% sure.

I have seen ( 1 ) and it was on craigs list, it was a 1997 ford ranger STX LOADED, exactly like my truck except I have a loaded STX 1996 and NO sunroof.

it is a factory option-but more common on the xlt than the xl.

I've never seen it listed in the factory literature.

They could have been dealer installed, but you could never get one straight off the assembly line with one.

I have never seen a factory sun roof on any Ranger before. I have seen lots of aftermarket ones. My wife and I went to our Ford dealer this afternoon to look at a Focus for the wife's youngest neice and I asked around there and nobody said the Ranger ever came with a sun roof unless it was install by a custom installer and sold on the lot that way. Maybe this is correct??
