How can you tell if you need to replace your springs?

So I just got an 86 B2 and I know it needs shocks bad. How do you tell if you need springs? The fronts don't look cambered in at top and the rears still are arced.

Ok a bonus question. What shocks under $50 do you recommend for a stock 4x4 setup? Oh yea the only off roading I will be doing is on my long gravel driveway:-)

Thanks. Rick

Go to a parts store and see what they have, wont get a better answer on price.

As far as coils if everything looks fine then no need to mess with it. Just look at the tires, if they are wearing evenly then you are fine.

I just got 4 shocks for my 89 2WD from Autozone. For 4, it came to about $100 for all 4. I told 'em to gimme the cheap ones cuz I don't beat on it off-road (any more) and I just wanted to make it quit skipping sideways on bumps.
