Okay, here is a tricky one.
My 2.3 will not start in the heat of the day when the temp is up over 90F degrees.
I have replaced several item including fuel pump, fuel pump relay, fuel pressure regulator, engine coolant temp sensor, air-intake temp sensor but still the same problem.
I get good fuel pressure at the schrader valve, I do have spark, yellow-orange in color.
Then engine turns over but does not seem it is firing or not getting fuel.
I think the only other thing it might be is a faulty coil pack.
Could a faulty coil pack cause this sort of problem. I know I have spark at least in the 1 and 2 cylinder, didn't check other two other than that I am at a lost.
The only code on the computer reports closed EGR valve at start.
Any ideas, or other possibilities
Thanks
BTW, My Ranger is an 89, 4x4, runs good otherwise in the cool of the day or if the temp is in the low 80's.
