Hey I'm Chance. I'm just trying to figure out how to get my baby to sit pretty on 33" Toyo M/T's without a body lift and for not too much money... but I guess I'll post a thread about that later :icon_cheers:

we need more info on your baby. but you can start with the chevy spring swap.

Shoot I can't believe that I missed that guide...

And my dangeranger is currently sitting on 265 bfg all-terrains, and it's at stock height with slightly cranked torsion bars. Me and my buddies have been trying to hash the lift out, which is easy for the rear, but I'm pretty much stuck with getting a new dropbox in the front aren't I?

I got kinda confused because one of the 4" kits that I saw said that it allowed for 31's and the picture looked the same height as mine :dunno:

33's, eh? I dunno 'bout that, but I'm on the same wavelength as u... 1250s would be dam near noteworthy, 1050s maybe ok with max torshun twizt, and a little hammer on the finderz a bit. You really need Toyos? Others make 31x1250/15 (or 325/60/15 which Im more seriouslly thinkN 'bout w/10" Aero rims & 5" backspace). Anyway, meekness is not weekness. And it seems youve come to the right place to ask. (...still contemplatating chevie springs on IFS...) Oh,btw, max TBT (torshun bar twizt) is only for looks. If you wanna really 'wheel, either lift it or at least get bigole f'glass fenderz ($150) to allow the suspenshun to operate (and at least think about tossN the swaybarz).

Yeah I know that it's gonna have to be lifted... I'm gonna do the Chevy spring swap in the rear, and I was thinking just the box from the 4" superlift kit (http://www.superlift.com/Catalog.asp?P=K357&V=204)... has anyone used this lift? How does it wheel?

And I want the Toyos because I like them a lot and I'm going to get a pretty much brand new (under 500 miles on them) set for $500 (and get a 79 blazer for free with the tires :D)

Well basically I was wondering if there was a cheaper lift than 1.5k... because for that much, I think I might just sas it.

Well there's always a body lift as a cheap option. That and a little fender trimming should fit 33s. But if you want a full lift kit for cheap you can usually source all the parts and put it together from members on here selling stuff. There's always suspension components for sale. Good luck.

my opinion to you, after being down that road..

if you're going to beat on it(HARD), skip the IFS lift junk.. just SAS it. I had the RCD lift on my truck for just over a year and beat the living piss out of it, locked front on 35s i broke like 9 CV shafts (the 2 on the truck when i sas'd it were 8 and 9) i broke numerous brackets, bent the piss out of the drop bracket and lower control arms, broke a bilstein coil over, the other one was on its way out yada yada.

the moral of the story.. don't skimp out on you're truck. besides, if you have the tools and you and/or your friends can get it done.. why not

i only have $2500-3,000 in my sas so far but i have some of this and some of that still to do before i really hit the trail, and a few major things before i do anything extreme.

Thanks man... I think that I'm definitely gonna sas it. I'll pry pm you every now in then to ask about your process. I'm in between jobs right now so it's gonna be a little bit before I get to start it :(

yea i hear ya there, thats why my truck isn't getting done.. I'm hoping to have it going by the middle of February, but its doubtful.
