Hey, I hope I got this in the right place. Hate to embarass myself on my second post.

I have a 2000 Ranger XLT Sport, and the clock has stopped working. The display still shows CD Track number, volume, etc... and still shows the radio station, but when i press the clock button, it says "NO CLK"

How do I fix that?

easy, grab your owners manual if you still have it, place it in your glove box. close glove box. go down to your local sound store (or walmart if you dont have one.) get an after market head unit w/clock function and a sub (or two if you can fit) a decent amp. hook everything up. now once you install everything BLAST your favorite head banging tunes :headbang:, make sure to THROUGHLY wake your neighbors. once thats done you should have a reliable clock :icon_thumby: lol sry. may be somthing with the programing of your stock headunit, there may be a factory code you have to put into it. doubt its anything fuse related or anything like that. when was the last time it worked? anything happen since then..

It worked about a month ago. I parked it for a while. Nothing damaged or broken. Just turned it on....and no clock.

Nothing, huh? I've searched for a couple of days, and nothing new. I have no idea what went wrong here....

The first thing that pops into my head is to disconnect your battery for a bit. I have no idea what that would accomplish, but maybe it's worth a try.

Are you totally unable to access whatever button sequence you have to do to set the time?

Tried the disconnecting of the battery. Nothing. I thought that would reset it, but it didn't.

Scenario: Motor on, radio off. No display on the led. Holding the CLK button while using tune/scan (hour/minutes) does nothing at all. No light up.

Turn the radio on, and the station displays. So the lights work. Press the CLK button again, message pops up on the led saying "NO CL"

I sit and look at it again and think "What the hell....?"

Display works, clock don't.

i talked to one of the head tech's at work. said it a problem with your head unit. so follow my first instructions :D or take it to ford see what then can do. but probably better off geting and after market one..

I agree with replacing the thing. I personally don't think I'd replace an otherwise perfectly functioning HU simply because the clock doesn't work, but in your case, you'd be killing two birds with one stone. Even an inexpensive mid-level aftermarket HU will yield a noticeable improvement in sound quality - even with your existing speakers, unless of course you're already running an amp.

If you have a single-disc, you could also swap it for the stock 6-disc unit.

Have you considered checking the junk yards?
