Are you talking the latch part on the radiator support or the part on the hood itself?

Spot welds came loose. 30 years of dropping the hood. Looks like two ways of fixing it. Drill out the spot welds and plate and tap the plate 8-32. OR there are two larger holes on either side that I could put maybe 1/4-20 bolts in. Anybody got a better idea? Thanks.
