just wanted to drop in and say hi and let everyone know I graduated basic a couple days ago.

congrats ......... question ..... Did they tell you what HUA stands for or did they just get you to say Hooah and spell it wrong.

It stands for Heard, Understood, Acknowledged. thats why they always ask (after saying something profound or giving an order) "Can I get a HUA?
I never understood why they spell it Hooah........

It has been almost 15 years since I grad. basic and I still remember how good it felt to pass that mile stone. Thank you for your service. It is always good to hear about another person filling the ranks and being happy about it.

Congrats also! I really wish they made everyone go thru it, good experience. Been 40+ years for me and I guess some things have changed.
Whats in the future for you?
Dave

Hooah man I did the same around last year this time!! CONGRATULATIONS

never once heard *hooah* defined like that. Even the official definition says, hooah.adj. Means nearly anything but no. Im in my advanced training now for light wheel mechanics, 91Bravo. Probably find out where my duty station is in march. As far as the sandbox goes, bring it on! My army family could use the extra help. Thanks for the support guys.

who knows what it means... thats the right attitude man I loved it over there and the pay is good!

Pay isnt too bad at all, especially when you consider that everything is paid for already, including the various types of healthcare.

I found out today that theres a very strong chance that I'll end up in South Korea as my first duty station. For the last 2 or 3 91B graduating classes, at least 70% of the class ended up in Korea. Germany and Italy are also high on the list, with very few being stationed in/on the mainland U.S.

Congrats Man & thanks for your service. :)

I bought Rainbow Six: Vegas for Xbox 360 and when you tell the guys to take cover or any other command, sometimes they say "HUA!"

Congrats and thank you very much for your service, sir!

Welcome back and congrats. Also welcome to the brotherhood my friend.
