Homemade Vacuum Smoke Machine?

Just wondering what folks think of this guy’s homemade smoke machine. Seems a little ghetto, but also pretty crafty. Can’t imagine that the charcoal and cardboard smoke wouldn’t fouls something up somewhere though.

It's very ghetto but it works in a pinch. You can tell that's not the first contraption he's made (another smoking device lol). I really don't think I would use charcoal and cardboard. Seems like dirty materials to use for the intake.

I don't know that I'd be that worried about the cardboard smoke hurting anything in the engine. I have seen a lot worse go through an engine with no ill effects.

If you are doing this every day to the same engine it might hurt something, but that is probably never going to happen.
