My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
I already have red and yellow batteries... I don't need green ones. That's a good deal though.

I've been waiting for a good deal on a Milwaukee band saw.

I also saw that home depot has the RIDGID coolers that connects to their mobile tool system. I got the email that said mine had been delivered and is awaiting pick up.

I stumbled upon this same package deal last year. The regular price for ONE 4ah battery was $99. Looked around the store for a bit in bewilderment. Well, can't pass this up.

The only thing that really sucks the juice out of them IME is the anglegrinder.

There was a separate deal earlier today for $199 that includes a 2, 4, and 6ah battery plus other tools to choose from. Both options were great for the price.

Stick with Milwaukee and you'll be just fine, I put my tools through hell and they keep purring right along. Not trying to bash Ryobi, just never had good luck with their electric tools.

Ryobi seems to be decent quality for the money, just not the best overall quality.

I think all there power tools are still regular old brushed motors. Makes sense though, all their drills I’ve used seems oddly large compared to modern brushless stuff.

Ryobi has had brushless for several years now. I bought some when they were on clearance last year. The 7 1/4" circular saw was great until one of the bearings went south. But it already paid for itself cutting siding on two story and 3 story stages for a year. I'm going to try to fix it...

Ahh, the only tools included in this promo is brushed tools. I just assumed they were all brushed.

For what it's worth,a lot of the tools to choose from in the $199 package are brushless.

Thanks for the notice. Might have to swing by HD later. Ryobi is my tool of choice. I know others are better, but Ryobi price and availability is right for me. I could use a couple more 4ah batteries. And I've kind of been wanting a router for cutting holes in MDF, thin plywoood, and maybe thin aluminum.

Would have been nice to catch that one too.

I wouldn’t buy anything from woke home depot. They force their woke bullshit agenda on their employees. If you white, you a racists. Doesn’t matter what they offer, I won’t spend a dime on their goods. Rewarding bad policy and behavior only encourages more. I’ll spend twice the amount somewhere else and keep my dignity.

The shelving guy at work has the red handheld bandsaw, it's super nice. I wish ryobi made one.

A cooler though.. that would be awesome.

Guy I work with spent the cash on a Milwaukee hammer drill one morning on our way to install 160ish feet of gutter on a concrete building.

After we left the homeless depot he would not stop gabbing about how great that drill was gonna be and how it was awesome to have a NICE tool to work with Yada Yada yada..

By the end of the day, the hammer settings on our "cheapo" ryobis all still functioned... the same couldnt be said for his holy grail of a Milwaukee 🤪 he gets pretty sore whenever I bring it up.

As previously mentioned, they do have brushless offerings. Getting a brushless tool usually means having to buy it by itself... it seems like most of their combo kits on the shelf are all "bottom of the barrel" tools. Still more than adequate for a home use type situation.. but not the best for making money with.

The ONLY downside I've noticed between ryobis brushless line VS. The competition is that the ryobi tool is usually bigger and a bit heavier.

I'll happily deal with a tool that's a little bigger to save quite a bit of money.

I understand where your coming from.

I've stopped giving a company who I've supported for over 20 years money because they've alienated me with their P.C B.S.

However, if it's the employees your concerned about...

You need to realize that it's their choice to work for home shitpo. They don't NEED to work there.

With the size of the labor shortage that's going on right now, there's another job out there for them, and they'd get hired on quickly.

Save yourself some money.

A conversation about HD as a business and it's politics and policies belongs elsewhere. This is for discussion of the current sale.
