Thunder & Lightning.....Like I've NEVER seen it before, NEVER, man this is like ...I dont no, but the lightning is going MAD like crazy and bright as hell, holy shit, and the thunder is so loud and it just vibrated my computer desk, never seen anything like this before, oh well ,
I love it!

anybody else getting any?

well apperently while i was driving at noon, there was an earthquake. of course i didnt feel a damn thing.the news made it sound like another Katrina tho.

There sure have been a few in Quebec.

The one in LA was a 5.8 (revised downward to a 5.4). While that may (and did) kill quite a lot of people in Turkey, it won't do a DAMN thing in LA except cause a few fender-benders and knock a few chatchkies off the shelves.

I tried to load a U-haul through a 5.4 once. It's a bit, umm, odd to be carrying a sofa up a ramp like that. On the other hand, I got knocked on my butt by a 7.1 and my underengineered bookshelf didn't survive it.

And you know it's a yawner when the sub-headlines at CNN read "Quake Sloshes Pool."

This has been a year of massive lightning for us too. Lot's of tree strikes.

And we had an earthquake...oh my...

And the Thunder & Lighning lasted through the night and its still like it..only not half as bad

Ever think that maybe it's a bad idea to leave your computer on during a lightning storm? Especially one that bad. We've had a few electronics get friend when lightning hit.

Had a nice storm here a couple of weeks ago. lasted all of about 15 minutes, went from cloudy to raining to hailing to pouring with 90+ mph winds and back to cloudy and calm. Put a ton of tress in the road and two ~100+ foot poplars in my yard, and knocked power out for about two days. I got a nice shiny orange chainsaw to cut all the crap up. There is a satellite campus for cornell university (the WH Miner Institute) that borders my house and they have a ton of poplars and firs that got either torn out of the ground or broken off right above it. I've never seen anything like it in my lifetime and I hope to never see anything like it again.
