I can't take credit for the building of the bed, a good friend of mine built it and I helped. Although I know how to weld actually turning out decent beads has always eluded me. I will see if I can find some good storm damage pics as well so I don't feel like I thread jacked

A little thunder and lighting never killed someone (knock on wood). I get lighting storms bad enough that a picture might fall off the wall. And pretty much, I'll sleep through them. It's when the power goes out that I run for shelter. Here in Oklahoma, T-Storms and tornados go together. And if the power goes out, it usually means a tornado took a transformer or power line out.

This is not the biggest, but they do get bigger. This one is just starting to build about 5-10 miles away.

And this is what may come out of one those super cell clouds. Unfortunely, my Ranger did recieve a few dings from these on May 1, 2008.

FYI: May always seems to be the worst month for me. May 3, 1999; F-5 Tornado takes out north of Tinker AFB. May 8, 2001; F-2 tornado comes within 1 mile of my house and takes out south of Tinker AFB. May 1, 2008; damaging hail totals roof on house and dings my Ranger.
