I ordered a 2barrel carb spacer for a 4bolt Holley. When I recieved it 3 of the mounting holes lined up and one was off by a bit. I emailed the company letting them know about the problem and they called me and told me I probably just ordered the wrong one.
Now correctly if I am wrong but on a Holley 2barrel with the 4bolt mounting system are they not all the same mounting set up/dimensions. Even if I ordered the wrong one why would the other 3 holes line up perfectly along with the holes for the throttle plates. This company is implying that either I don't know how to install a carb spacer or that someone decided to change the mounting location by 1/8" just for the hell of it.
I am putting a motorcraft on an intake set up for a 2 barrel Holley but some how the fact that I am using a motorcraft carb made the manifold a different deminsion. I believe the intake is a setup off of a pinto.
This is kind of a rant but am I in the wrong or not?
