hmm boggin got to drive today

I drove our ranch trucks quite a bit as a kid. Starting when I was 11-12ish my pop would let me drive back roads and dirt roads on fishing trips and what not. It may not be right, but by the time I was 16 I was one of the more experienced 16 year old drivers on the road. Boggin I think you're pretty cool, and have respect for you. Stay on the back roads and keep it cool. Keep on trucken buddy!

I can't believe I missed this thread. Maybe you oughta read my thread in the Tailgate Boggin, about getting rearended by an unlicensed and unisured driver. You may think it's all fine and dandy driving, you may not have hit anyone, but wait until the day you do. You will pay dearly for it.

As for the rest of you egging him on about driving, i'd feel ashamed. Don't bitch and complain about your insurance rates, Boggin is a prime example of why. My insurance agent told me just the other day when I had to give a statement that insurance rates are rising because of more and more people driving on the roads without licenses and insurance. Completely unacceptable and irresponsible.

He's nt the reason for our insurance rates being so high. Its the new legal teen drivers that are and always have been so arrogant and think they are Gods gift to automobile.s ITs the elderly that can barely see that are legal, but unsafe. Its the 40 yr old with a LEGAL drivers license but wont hand the key to his friend friday night. The percentage of drivers like boggin account for the least of all reasons why our insurance goes up

Most importantly it goes up because of the greed of the Top Dogs. Even you have to admit that Tom, after the farce called a bailout.

Boggin is just being the avg american kid, doing the things he aint supposed to, everyone needs to get off his back. If he hadnt said nothing, then noone would know and noone would care. IT only matters to us because he said something.

I have to pay 600 to state farm, and then another 600 in six months and that's CHEAP for someone my age. >:(

It's also the minimum insurance! When I get my Suby it's going to be wicked high.

Oh, and Boggin's not an American. :D

LOL typical american kid is an ideal, not a race. But it just so happens that I forgot about him being almost french. LOL :thefinger:

Corrected again. He is American, He is north american just like the rest of us above the messican border. He's just not obamafied.

Since when did we start promoting someone breaking the law? Makes me feel great knowing most of you would let your 9-10-11-12 year old kids drive a two ton wrecking ball that may be aimed right at me or a loved one.

Way to teach right from wrong.

And before anyone comments... I know it is wrong to call someone out for breaking the law... I mean that is what you all are saying right?

Oh really? He's not the reason? I'm glad you're an expert in the Insurance field. Maybe you should talk to your insurance company some time. Premiums are on the rise because of people who drive with no license and no insurance.

The only reason Boggins age plays a role is because he isn't legal to drive at all. The guy who rear-ended me two weeks ago was NINETEEN YEARS OLD. That's right, 19. He was old enough to have a license AND insurance. Just because you're over 16 and are able to legally obtain a license it doesn't mean you will. Don't tell me unlicensed and uninsured drivers have nothing to do with rising rates, pal.

EDIT: I'm 18 by the way. So you're saying it's OK for Boggin to drive on the road illegally but the reason rates are going up is because of me? That's a crock of shit man. I will admit, I have one speeding ticket for coasting down a steep hill at 70 in a 55. Ever since then, I keep it right around the speed limit. I don't sit there and text on my cell phone or turn my obnoxious music all the way up so everyone and their brother can hear it when they pass me. I don't weave in and out of traffic like I own the road. I passed the state's drivers ed exam with the highest grade in my class which exempted me from having to take the 2 week course. I was also one of the youngest in there at the time. Only 3 people including me passed out of about 200. The other two were girls. Just because some are idiots doesn't mean the rest of us don't know the rules of the road.

Exactly! What if my 12 year old sister had been in the vehicle with me when this guy rear-ended me and she hurt her neck or something? The SOB ran for God's sake.

Maybe when it happens to one of you you will see where i'm coming from.

Im not promoting what he did, I'm saying that its done and no point in riding the kid, thats for his parents to do. Noone is saying its wrong to call him out, just not neccessary, he already knows its wrong. Thats why he asked his g-pa twice before actually gettin in the truck.

I also think everyone gives this kid alot of sh*t over alot of things he says in his posts. Everyone throws a fit because someone talks about doing something "illegal", like taking cats off the exhaust.or driving without a license. As awesome as the site is, this is the only one I have ever seen where so many people b*tch about pidly stuff like that. A conversation about those things affects absolutely noone. He had a fun experience, he wanted to share it with us. After readin this thread I doubt he will want to share anything with us ever again.

I'd like to know whos had their license suspended before, and who drove anyways? It may have a religious origin, but the meaning still rings true. Let he without sin cast the first stone. This is supposed to be a place where we can meet up with other people like us and have a good time. Its not a good time when people keep bashing you for doing sumthin stupid.

Have you ever broken the law? don't tell me you havn't...I'm glad I drove before I got my license. I think it had worked out to my benefit. I don't condone 11 year olds cruzing the highway, but I do think the youg'ns that live in the cuts should get as much behind the wheel experience as possible before they legally hit the road.

I don't give Boggin shit, I get along with him. I don't agree with everyone condoning driving on the road.

As for the license part, wait til you get hit by someone without one like I did. Then come talk to me. :icon_thumby:

I wasnt referring to you specifically giving him shit, just repsonses to his posts in general.

And I have been hit. I purchased a 97 mustang gt Had it for 4 days and the dealership called back and said the bank tanked the deal, I had to bring it back. The day I was to take it back, some punk kid driving his unlces dealership car pulled out of a parking space while changing his cd player and tboned me, I was pissed because I had a second deal working through a private bank for the same car. I lost that.

I have also made the mistake of hitting someone (mildy tagged the rear bumper of and crossing vehicle cause the stop sign was covered) and running away when i was in high school. Shyt I was scared. when I got home and got my wits together and realized what I did I went to the police station and turned myself in. It cost me 40 hours of community service. My point is noone is perfect, yet alot of people talk like they are.

I also paid exhorbitant rates for my driving record, and now I have dirt cheap insurange through direct genereal because htey are the only company that doesnt check my credit. My record (have been suspended 3 times or more for points) hasnt affected my rates near as bad as my credit.

They make driving school for that. If everyone thought like you, we'd have mass chaos in the US for all the parents teaching the 5 year olds to drive while in booster seats.

Laws are meant to be broken, if you do it, whatever. Don't talk about it on a public forum where we could be held responsible, and more importantly pray you don't hit me while you doing it.

I think kids in booster seats should take over the trucking industry world wide. Yeah....That's perfect! Why hasn't the government adopted some sort of a booster seat policy? That could be the minimum requirement for acquiring a license. "Must be at least booster seat age to operate a motor vehicle on public highways" GENIOUS!

I do understand your statement about NOT promoting illegal activities on a public forum. You have a valid point and I will honor it. I love this site and would hate to participate in any activity that could possibly put it in jeopardy.

Ever heard the saying, "Give them an inch and they take a mile?"

The pot calling the kettle black....I said that I don't condone 11 year olds cruzing the hwy, and that I drove ranch trucks on dirt roads. You took that inch and ran with it. Talking about 5 year olds in booster seats. Come on now..
