My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
so last night, about 22 hours ago, I was northbound on US 31 just south of Tipton (for those not in the know, thats 30 miles north of Indianapolis) and my truck sprouted wings. the wind picked me up, not blew me over, but picked me up. I had hang time. the last thing I remember seeing before I was floppd over on my side was stareing straight down at the pavement so I had to be near vertical.

sorry about the crappy cell phone pics but its what I had.

I walked away with out a scrath. the guy that helped me out of my truck cut his finger on the glass but I walked away with out a scratch. I bought a lottery tickrt on the way home.

Wow...

FWIW, they claim that Pittsburgh, PA recorded gusts at the airport of 92mph....

I also got to hear a freight train come through here last night...and it wasn't on the tracks by the house if you know what I mean.... Thankfully it either never touched down or skipped over my valley.

My dad drove past your wreck last night. We discussed that this morning.

Glad you are ok.

So where are the pictures? Doesn't your dad carry a camera in the truck for such things? lol

There was 2 or 3 trucks around here that had blown over on I69. That would be about 50 miles north of where you were at. Glad you were not hurt.

I was fighting the steering wheel yesterday an today, reported gusts of 60-70 mph round here, i had to drive with both hands tensed an ready, but it was nice when the wind was goin with my truck lol felt like i was being pushed, glad u didnt get hurt tho, hows ur vehicle now?

its totaled. it looks alot worse than it does in the pic. I had a section of roof peel back. the trailer is salvageable but the tractor is totaled.

Wow, that's intense! Glad to hear you're okay..

damn glad to hear your ok, i have seen so many of these tip overs going back and forth between my home in ca and going out the 10 to az, i almost had a truck tip over on me before it was scary for me i could just imagine what it would be like to be inside the truck when it happened, once again glad your ok

I was empty. I was on an autoparts run where they pay round trip and they didn't have any empty racks to put on me to take back. I wasn't scared ..... I was in the air and nothing I could do about it. I did get mad becsause the truck behind me stopped, got out of his truck, and then took off. didn't check to see if i was ok ......... gotta love seatbelts.

Damn!

Glad you're okay. Glad you didn't topple onto someone too.
