Metallic purple '94 XLT here, just about to turn 210k. I call it the Grape Ape.
Most of those miles were logged in the midwest-- the mechanics I've dealt with in Arizona, California and Oregon like to whine about the rust.
Lost the clutch master cylinder at 190k or so and had all that stuff replaced (had been leaking for years)-- then lost the transmission six months later at 193k, in the middle of a cross-country move. Was stuck in N. Caliornia in a town so small that I couldn't even junk my truck and rent a u-haul. So I ate the cost of replacement and it's been nothing but reliable since.
The clear coat's shot from being parked outside in AZ for a couple years, and it now has the steel rims from an '84 Ranger rather than the factory mags (got a deal on used tires already mounted). The windshield's cracked and it's picked up a couple of off dents from parking lot jerks that never fessed up. Slow leaks of just about every fluid, but I only log ~5k a year, so it's not hard to keep up.
