High Mileage Rangers

My 95 4.0 has 184xxx on the dash...but the engine only has 69k and the trans has less.

'97 4.o .305,028kms,,about 185,000 miles. Bought it with 185,000kms,,have recently done upper gaskets, did the trans and clutch last summer.

50,000 2004 4x4 5spd manual, ext cab............... it runs pretty O.K for a stock truck.

2000 Ranger 2.5L - 198,xxx... I doubt it will ever make it to the 200k mark, it only makes short trips to town whenever we need mulch now... Used to go 75 miles back and forth to work everyday, it's retired now...

1990 Ranger 2.3L - 297,xxx... Sold it a while ago only thing we ever replaced on it was timing belt, and accessory belt... Oil change every 5K... Still motoring about today...

The 2.5 will never die. you gotta force 2000 more miles on here and sell her to a migrant worker. They love ranger work trucks. I've been offered 4k on numerous occasions for my 1999. run her till 200k and sell her for 2-3 grand

You gotta love the Ranger's for changing the conpect of "High Mileage". Use to be 100k + miles is high mileage. With the Rangers, they last beyond 200k + miles. While mine is still young (120k miles) compared to the all above that was mentioned. I feel the little old 2.3L will keep on going past 300k miles.

Sadly, the 2000 Ranger might be sold off here pretty soon for a new tow rig...

1994 was the 1st year with a 6-digit ODO for mileage (7 if you include the 10ths digit)

I got 240,000kms on my Ranger and it has got a 2000 Explorer motor of unknown mileage, will grap a pic later

99 3.0 2174xx. only major replacement so far...head gaskets, everything else is just a need to turn wrench

i thought 148k was alot for my 2.9 w/replaced heads. and is it possible for a stock clutch to go 148k?

275k........ 2.9liter 2wd 88 bone stock auto.
all original, except exhaust and tires.
trans went down... still ran like a champ.
