Just made the switch to Ford after working at and driving GM for 35 years.

Love my Ranger so far, looks like there are a ton of mods and ways to keep on spending my kids inheritance for toys and goodies.

Greetings. New Ranger, or just new for you (personally, I didn’t know they came new until recently)? Year, stats, couple pics?

Brand new Lariat, no mods yet, getting the lay of the Ford landscape before making any snap decisions.

They closed the plant I worked in, putting thousands of people out of work. Loyalty is a two way street I suppose...

Having made my career in the automotive world in Michigan... I've seen that happen almost continuously for 3 or 4 decades. The Big 3 has left Michigan a hot mess. Didn't they build GMT800's in the Oshawa plant? Seems I remember that from my GM days.

Nice looking truck...

Yep. GMT 400, GMT 800, W-Bodies for about 30 years, on two separate assembly lines. In our heyday we were making over 4000 vehicles per day, often working 6 days a week. They said we would be building GMT 900 to secure a labour agreement in 2008 and then pulled the plug on that deal about a month after ratification. They finally exited automobile production in Oshawa at the end of 2019, laying off thousands, just to miraculously reopen it a year later. GM can bite my cold hairy butt, I will never buy another vehicle from them.

I just did a quick google and I seen where they're gonna start building trucks again...

I've been driving Rangers since 88... the only thing I want other then a Ranger is the new Bronco. Look for big things to happen in the next gen Ranger. Bronco and Ranger are built on the same architecture... in the same plant. Pretty good time to switch to the Blue Oval.
