Hi! Cardev U Joint question

Hi guys , new to this forum , figured i'd become a member and check it out. Owner of a 03 5 speed fx4 lil ranger that I love.Rather then buy a new truck I found this one not long ago and am very happy with it.


Anywho on to my question. The Previous owner sold it to me with the front driveshaft out, he said I need a replacement U Joint for it. On the front driveshaft I need the Cv joint that comes from the transfer case. Bulb style ( roundy style ) Joint. My question is that over the past few days I have contacted several parts stores with the model of my truck and they tell me that either they can't find the part I need or that it is a special order for the year of my truck.. However they do sell the ones for like a 99 ford ranger that look indentical. Is the CV joint the same for the rangers? I am confused on what to do.

The kit to fix the CV joint is : dorman 932-201 driveshaft cv joint kit

That's for 1998 to 2011 Rangers

Not sure if 2003 length of shaft or something else is different but I would think 1998-2003 front drive shafts would be interchangeable.
I don't think the PVH to Live Axle change in 2001 would matter

I appreciate thanks, yeah i just checked the Dorman website and it says its the same part for pretty much all rangers. Quite strange, ill bring the part number with me next day and just ask for that. Thanks!
