well here's my problem and I hope and prey it's something I can adjust.

to begin with, the fluid is where is suppose to be, the fluid is clean, there is a new filter in the pan, and the O-rings are good on the filter, when I put this tranny in, I blew out all of the lines, and coolers, so no old fluid would get into the "new" 80 dollor tranny from Pull-A-Part in Knoxville.

ok, when the tranny is cold, it won't fully engage reverse, it will back up, but it feels like it is slipping and I have to rev the engine to get it to move, and it takes a moment to engage drive, also once the tranny is warm, it engages fine in D put not in OD, when in OD, it feels like it pulls out in 2nd, and if I put it in D it pulls out fine, there is no shuttering, and no tickking nosie, the TC was a new rebuilt from Autozone.

Someone please tell me it's a easy fix, and is it something I can fix without having to drop it out.

I have also checked the linkage, it is fine and where it should be.

No expert here but it sounds like that transmissions clutches are right on the edge of being worn out. If someone else confirms try the Lucas product for transmissions. I hear it works well. For a time anyways.

I have already tried the Lucas stuff, didn't help, infact I think it made it worst, I'm thinking I might have bad modulators(sp) or something, because once it warms up it will engage reverse fine, and if I put it in drive once it's warm it engages fine and feels like it is going in to first, it's the part about not wanting to go into first when I have it in OD that has me puzzled.

the way lucas works from what i understand is it swells up seals and the clutch material. The problem is once that swelled up clutch material is worn down through normal use it goes right back to slipping. and nothing you can do to it at that point short of replacing the clutches will help.

so if you already used the lucas and it fixed it for a time. and now its back. its really done.
