Welcome to the forum
Theres probably some difference between 4x4 and 2wd tire sizes, but my '89 came origonally with 215s. Waaay too small for a offroad truck lol But maybe what ur looking for. No experience whatsoever in the lowered trucks tho.
In my pictures i have 235 tires on it with the 15" rims. Maybe if u compare u could picture my truck lowered a bit? lol (And FYI... im gettign 33" tires next time i upgrade... these were just a free upgrade from the 215s)
hey, sorry for the delay... my tires look abnormally small, maybe its just because it has 17 inch rims on it. I plan to put bigger tires on and maybe change out the gearset if the issue with the high rpms arent resolved.
On another note, are these trucks LSD equipped? or is is Right wheel drive... I notice that my right wheel has alot less tread than my left tire.
The only rangers to get an LSD is the FX4 level 2. They get 31 splin axles too.
oh, ok... yea.. I guess I was thinking solid rear end or whatever has the same result as a welded diff, where its both wheels full time..
Don't buy into the one wheel drive myth. Open any book on automotive principals such as tm 9-8000 and have a read. It will save you money you may have otherwise wasted in a spool or locker you don't even need.
Don't get me wrong, there is a place for spools and lockers. Those who understand the function of a differential know where their place is. However your use of the phrase one wheel drive tells me education will benefit you much more than a locker.
