I have a 2004 ranger 2 wheel drive 3.0 drivers side front clunking sound, I replaced the shocks and it went away for a day but came back. when I put my hand on the coil spring and have someone bounce the truck I can feel it in the spring. any idear what it can be? lower control arm? thanks

the garage said it was the spring hitting the lower control arm he put some rubber under the spring, he said the spring has a rubber biscut on it does this sound right?
