hesitation on cold start

my trucks hesitatiing on cold starts what could it be, the battery and charging symstem are fine, just replaced the fuel filter, and spark plugs what could it be?

If you can get a scanner to check the temp that the sending unit for the ECM is reporting at the cold start to verify if it is correct. If it is reporting the wrong temp to the computer it could cause a stumble or miss when the engine goes from open to closed loop on the ECM.

it's a hesitation when starting up (like the battery isn't fully charged)

Ok

If you turn the key and the starter doesn't turn over or turns over slowly you prolly have a bad battery.... Or your battery connections are corroded (pull the cables from the battery and gently sand the inside of them and also the posts on the battery). Or the other end of the cable where it meets the engine is corroded. ( same proceedure, take it off and gently sand it clean and reinstall)
The battery should always show over 12V. A new battery shows 12.6V.
Try that and get back to us.
