My credo
Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Plan for it as best you can.

I posted this yesterday in another new Ranger thread. lol

I'll have to take a look at that later. Thanks for the post and thanks to whomever edited my original post. I have to go pull the front bumper, grill, and splash guard as well as the passenger side tire and wheel well liner on the GF's Nissan Versa. Just to change the serpentine belt. :shok:

I'm thinking this will take most of the day and makes me appreciate my truck and SUV so much more...

I hate saying this, but the Toyota is a way better looking truck.

I like the ford front (mainly steel bumpers) but I do like Toyota’s more shallow bed and smaller tail lights.

In real life the taco grille is HUGE especially in normal chrome cheese grater format, ford has a cleaner nose IMO.

They are similar
Most different at fenders. Taco is square, Rangers is more round. Can't really see that in this pic.

They are kind of.

They don't look that similar in person, I didn't get the correlation until I got back to the hotel room that night and saw people going nuts about it online. The Ranger looks like a Ford, most of their SUV's have a very similar front.

And the T6 was facelifted overseas a year before the taco was remodeled in the US. Add a steel bumper to the T6 and stylingwise you have a US Ranger.

No firsthand experience but some have said people overseas say the Toyota looks like a Ford because to them the Ranger came out first.

I do think the Taco looks better but it looks like the front is all plastic. I'd rather have the metal bumper that the Ranger has. To each their own though. The Taco is a great truck, proven and tested. There is an unknown element with the Ranger, even if it is based on the world Ranger.

Yeah I do see a strong resemblance here to both the Tacoma and the Chevrolet Colorado, even though the Ranger was designed first and existed globally long before either of its chief competitors was styled. So was there really some copying done here or is the Ranger merely the genesis of current styling trends.
I have to say though that in my opinion the Ranger is much better looking than the Toyota. Admittedly I'm not a Toyota fan by any stretch of the imagination, but the Tacoma's got a face not even a mother could love!:haha:
But then again if you go back to the 80's when the Ranger and the old S-10 were first introduced to compete against the old Toyota pick-up (the Hi-lux?); our dads were probably saying the same thing, that they all looked very similar. They did have similar styling then because that was the current trend of the day.
