click on the pic and watch the video... I was in a tractor pull yesterday, pulled 226 feet, was against 5 other rigs in my class, two wranglers with 350's and a cherokee with a 4.0L and a couple yota's, the cherokee was the closest to my run at 203 feet... Not too shabby for a fairly stock 2.3T :)

As for the breakage, there was enough force involved to break the rear yoke, bend the main leaf on the drivers side (I crab walked in front wheel drive on the way home...), and push the engine forward about 1.5" for the center of the fan to kiss the radiator.

Maybe me porting the head pushed me ahead in power more than I thought... I did loose 4psi of boost from the engine injesting more air... :), that with premium fuel (don't have an octane switch at this point), knock sensor unplugged, boost controller disconnected...

Right on!
I've been looking for a T2.3 for my low buck race truck, I want to try rally with it. And I finally got back to work so I might be able to afford to buy one now.

Right on!

I like the crowd's reaction when you finished.

Note the front tires almost off the ground, then when the yoke let go it dropping 6" or so :)

I finally tried to spend the time to fix this today... I found out what it takes to break the plug welds on an 8.8! twisted the passenger side tube 13 degrees! this little 4 banger put down some power... definitely need to figure out the traction bar in the near future.

I "should" replace the housing, but I believe I'm just going to cut the spring perch off and relocate it to where it needs to be...
