Is it burning rich? Does the exhaust smell like raw gas?

You have an '87 which doesn't have a functioning check engine light. There is documentation in the technical library under ECC-IV diagnostics that outlines how to pull codes on your model with either a test light or analog volt meter. Or optionally, an OBD-I code reader would work. If the computer is seeing something amiss, it really doesn't have any way of notifying you, but would be a good starting point to check if it has noticed anything particular (stored memory) IMO.

Definitely sounds like something electrical.

i pulled all the codes and nothin comes up

Nothing, as in the test light didn't blink or volt meter didn't sweep, or did you get 11s from KOEO and CM?

What route did you end up taking in pulling them?

Pete

Check the fuel pressure regulator. Pull the vacuum line off and check for fuel in the line, there should be none.

if your temperature switch is sending right cause if the engine is war but the switch is faulty and tells the computer it is still cold the computer wiil adjust for more fuel to get the engine to temp even though it actually is and then the o2 will tell the cpu it is runnig rich and lean it out again
so check your sensors just in case hope this helps
