(1997 Mazda B4000) I replaced my Valve cover gasket today but at the same time broke something :annoyed: I had to take the throttle body off and when i did i broke this small hose thats underneath it. its a plastic hose with rubber around it.. I broke it on the elbow where it was just plastic... anyone no what this hose is???? if its important or not?? Ill take a picture if I have to. Just need to no what it is so I can replace it if its important thank you.

vacuum line and its pretty important

what kinda symptoms would I have it the hose just sat there??? I might try clamping it back together but what if theres a leak?? is it just air passing through there?

is it just air passing through there?

No, it's unfiltered, unmetered air. The leak alone poses the possibility for running issues and damage to the engines internals.

I'm pretty sure that the line in question runs your EGR vavle, you so can expect to see low power and or reduced fuel economy and poorer emissions quality on top of the other issues associated with a vac leak.
