Help!

I took my shifter off so i could put the shift rail plugs in my leaking transmission, the mod5-r1? i believe, the one that leaks from the shift rails. Put the stick back on, and i cant get it out of reverse now! What did i do? clutch still works fine, and i can move the stick like its in neutral! Help, this is my only vehicle!

idk about rangers but on most sticks theres a little rod at the end of the stick that goes to the tranny, and ON the tranny is a little slot type thing that rod goes into to move gears and all, hard for my small vocab to explain but its all there in my head haha hope this helps

I got it working. It was in reverse when i pulled the stick. so i pushed the button in, where i thought the shaft should be and pulled down and it slipped into neutral, now all is good! thanks!
