When I apply any sort of torque on my transmission/engine my Shifter nob on my 94 B2300, it torques the lever all the way over to Overdrive while still in first. When letting off the gas and putting in the clutch it will slam back to its normal Spot. What is wrong?!?!?!?!?!?!?
BTW: when not in gear the engine does not torque over or move the shifting lever any farther than normal. It is a Brand new Transmission with about 1k miles on it.

I am guessing your shifter bushing is bad. Basically it is a rubber piece that sits base of the shifter. I think it was about 30-40 bucks thru Summit.

even if?

there is a large torque of the car its self along with the violent pull of shifter nob to the right under accel at mid to higher rpms

i also feel (when i had my friend drive it) a thumping feel under Passanger side Floor only not on drivers

Try something...with the truck off, and in first gear, can you move the shifter very far side to side without actually shifting the gears?

The other possiblity, are you mounts are worn for either the trans or motor.

ok..missed that second post...sounds more like you trans or engine mount is gone.

Awesome Thanks Two last question for you.
would the engine Torque far if the mount is gone under revving?
WHERE THE F*** IS THE TRANNY MOUNT??
it pitch black out... >.>

yes....think about it this way....you have a rotational mass that is being supported by two points. All is fine and dandy, as by these two points, the rotational mass cannot move. Remove one of these points and the rotational mass just moved its anchor point to the remaining support point. When the motor starts to rev, all that mass gets transfered to the remaining anchor point...

Sorry for rambling, but do you understand what I am getting at?

actually with the help of your posts my friend just came to the same deduction and stated what you happened to just say.. and dont worry about the rambling its perfectly fine.. =D Thanks again.

Check Summit...I believe they have motor mounts for it. I know I got poly motor mounts for my stang for about 45 bucks or so. Glad I could help.

Yeah you had a bolt go out on your trans or motor mount which would cause it to move around alot. when you rev your motor and the whole truck tilts to the right a little well same thing but your missing the bolt or something broke and allows the engine and trans to move without moving the vehicle.

The trans mount is at the rear of the trans (a cross member mount). The engine mounts are on each side of the block. I would bet on the engine mounts as the problem ... the trans wont torque unless the engine does, and the engine has wider mounts.

Seeing as the it is torquing to the right, I am betting that the driver's side mount is broke.

X2 Most definately first check that and also check the trans mount and make sure it wasn"t damaged from the twisting when the one mount was broke.:icon_cheers:
