ok so i was on some trails that my buddy go's to all the time and went thru some deep water. i had modified my intake so no water got in the engine from that but the water did cover all of the tire:( and the truck is otherwise stock. so after that i noticed that it didnt have as much power and really boged down in the lower rpm. i took off my intake and it is dry but i dont know what else to look at. and when it bogs down its really ruff sorta like its miss firing :( can anyone help point me in the right direction?

air filter is clean. but i never thought about the gas. i will check that out. thank you for ur help

ok well the filler neck looks good but i will check the fuel lines and the tank tomorrow. it really feels like its missing whan i give it more than about half throttle in the lower rpms. i was just hoping it was just some electronics that got wet and that it would dry out and get better :(. tomorrow il also check the cap and roter maybe thats it. hopefully i can find the problem tomorrow.

ok il check both when i get off work tomorrow. but what do u think is the best way to check for water in the gas? look at the fuel filter or pull off the bed and take out the pump and look in it? or pump some out into a bucket from the fuel pump? or just drive it tell its empty than put some new gas in it? sadly i just filed up my tank a few miles before i got to riter pit :(

wouldn't hurt to see if you got mud packed around 02sensor too...give it a good bath.

maybe a vacuum line got knocked off, or, a electrical connection/wire broke

thanks. il look for that to. sadly it was to stormy out today to work on it. but tomorrow should be better i hope lol. thanks for the help. when i find the problem il make sure to post it. but i did look at most of the vacuum lines and they looked ok but il look closer tomorrow

You have prolly fixed already but. to check for water in gas I either replace fuel filter if its been awhile or take out blow through it catching remaining gas in a glass jar. and if when empty you cant blow threw easily replace and then watch the gas in jar, if it seperates gas and water then you know what you have to do!!!
or try the iso heet gas dryer(something like that)
