Help!

if you have a spring shop nearby, you can have the leaves re-arched.

its generally cheaper and easier to adjust the height with shackles and the like...but not always.

nope:tease:

I worked at a spring shop for a while, I worked next door even longer. He now has a big fancy hydraulic arching machine. I beat on springs with a big hammer many times, Holding the spring for someone else is not much fun but, it is an experience.

Agreed, squatting is part of the vehicle dynamics. When you leave from a dead stop and the truck squats, weight is transfered to the rear. This helps the tires get traction. The same goes for braking in a turn. Hit the brakes and the nose dives giving the front tires more grip and turning ability.

Adding a rear sway bar was one of the best things I did to my truck for handling. I don't like the truck w/o the weight of my cap though and the big rear bar. It becomes rather easy to kick the rear end out in turns. When you add one, remember to take it slow until you learn how the truck responds to the change.

I always tell people I learned how to drive playing GT 1 and 2 on Playstation. You learn about vehicle dynamics and you can mess with the settings on many aspects of the car. Changing things actually changes the way the car handles in the game. You soon learn that each setting effects another and the stiffest suspension doesn't mean the best handling. While not a replacement for the "real world", you can apply things learned.
