I am in the process of trying to put together my front rotors and stuff. I realized too late that I did not need to remove the spindle nuts (I regrettably looked at the shop manual after the fact :pissedoff: ) I read that the nuts need to be discarded and new ones put on due to the fact that they are a torque prevailing design hub nut. Has anyone had any experiance with this?? I need to drive the truck on Monday and none of the local parts stores have the nut.

I found this one on E-Bay for $16 per nut...

So the bottom line is this, do you think that I need to replace the nut???

Thanks

I reuse hundreds of these nuts a year. I have yet to have a single issue resulting from it with the exception of the 3-pronged units used on the 08 to 10 Focus which WILL cross thread if reused.

Cool! I will reuse the nuts then and torque to OEM specs.

Thanks a lot!!
