hi trs i was going to work this morning and as soon as i shifted into 2nd gear my truck stopped providing momentum like my driveshaft had fallen out, checked under vehicle and saw my driveshaft still in tact, i put the truck in 1st let off clutch and it does nothing except make a spinning noise with a slite brushing sound, now my question is, is this clutch? slave cylinder/ release bearing? or do i have a bigger issue in the tranny?

Slave cylinder disengages the clutch, normally the clutch is "out" or grabs no matter what when this fails. If the clutch pedal feels normal, My guess is tranny/input shaft or something. If the clutch pedal is super soft, something in the clutch could have broke and stuck the clutch "in" or disengaged or the pressure plate won't pinch the clutch. Did you hear a pop? Good luck. Some tranny have a plug that you can look in to see whats going on, or attempt to.

my uncle just showed up and his guess without pulling the tranny is i ripped the center of the clutch out, so either way i gotta pull the tranny and in the rain FML :(

i dont mind a kick or two when im down, but can a brother get a hand and a cold beer? seriosuly tho anyone in southern wv wanna drink some beer and turn some wrenches in the rain, ill get a keg of ur choice

Have you tried shifting the 4x4 transfer case, maybe it's in neutral

@rond yes sir was the first thing i tried i pulled the shift motor off and checked it first thing, center of clutch is ripped out for sure offer still goes on the keg tho!
