I modified an 8.8 rear end and took all the brackets off. (98 explorer) I now know that I need to put the brackets for the rear sway bar back on. Well they are gone. I watched a tv show where they put new ones on another rear end. Does anyone know where to get them (brackets) or what they are called other than weld on sway bar mounts for an 8.8 ford. That search came up with nothing. TIA

Junk yard could be a source.

can you make new tabs based off the stock ones for your new rear end? you need to make sure they are the same length off the axle other wise itll change the rate of the sway bar

My Ranger has no sway bars and I have no regrets... of course I have somewhat stiff front coils so that makes some difference, but still probably wouldn't run a rear sway bar...

Must be street application? My explorer has a huge front sway bar and a rear sway bar and it handles surprisingly well for a 5000lb boat... the sway bar mounts are very simple though, some flat bar with braces or rectangle tubing or angle iron and some braces would be about the same, it's just two holes with J nuts per side...
