help with fuel sending unit wiring

so i made my own fuel sending unit for my 90 bronco ii. i used an aftermarket dorman fuel level sensor and it works great. kind of. i tested the resistance before i put everything in and it read as it was supposed to. in my fabrication i mounted the sensor upside down so now it reads backwards in the truck. full is empty and empty is full. i absolutely do not want to drop this tank again. please somebody tell me i can switch a wire in the instrument cluster. if so which one would be great.

Gotta drop the tank. Cant just switch wires when its measuring resistance...

You could use an old ford fuel gauge, they used reverse resistance(ohms)
Empty-Full
16-158 Ohms------ '89 and up Fords
73-10 Ohms------- '88 and earlier Fords

But it wouldn't be that accurate.

You could build a circuit that reversed OHMs but it would need to be powered and you would need a bit of experience to build it, if you have to pay someone to build it, $250 would probably be minimum.

thanks guys. ended up dropping the tank again and turning it around. got a change to readjust the float while i was in there. i tell you one thing though. those bosche fuel pumps are loud. they whine whine whine. it's louder than the walbro on my tt supra. but it's worth it to be rid of that plastic enclosed oem style POS.
