Got a good job building boats. Had to grind a bunch of fiberglass today. Question is, How the heck do you get fiberglass out of your arms? Its everywhere and itches like no other.

take a COLD shower. i play with it a lot building sub boxes an custom parts.

Bathing in salt is supposed to help. I would suggest cover-alls too. I hate fiberglass with a passion.

I won't go in the same room as the stuff without full skin coverage... It seems like once you get into that stuff it never goes away...

i used to build boats .. pretty much after 3 showers or so its gone .. it never really bothered me .. damn i miss that job

I have taken 2 showers and its still there. As for the job, I like it. Its alot of work, but not a bad job to start fresh outta high school. We are almost done with a $450,000 sailboat right now.

I always used a pumice soap and showered, but I've never done more then a few sub box's and truck fenders at a time....doing a whole boat may require a lil something more, lol.

whats the company's name

it might take some time for it to go away. Next time wear long sleeves.

I worked using fiberglass a couple of places and heard to put a bar of soap in panty hose and wash using that. Also use cold water like the others said.

I used to work on boats years ago. It bothered me for the first couple of days then it didnt bother me unless I didnt work on hulls for a week

Wash off with straight vinegar. Just plain white vinegar. Then you can wash a couple of times with soap and water to get rid of the smell.

heavy long sleeve shirts. And guess what.. Duct tape the ends of the sleeves closed against your skin. so only your hands are going to get itchy. Oh and don't breath that resin. feel that dizziness? thats your brain dying => its like sniffing glue. not a good idea.
