can anyone give me a rundown on the ignition system . where to look first when no spark , then go here..

There are a couple other things it could be like the Crank sensor, if its bad youwill get no spark. the other is the EEC relay, if its bad your computer is not powered up.

A quick check for the EEC relay is to turn the key to the KEY ON ENGINE OFF position .. the check engine light should be on .. if not try switching the EEC relay with the A/C relay and try again. These relays should be under the hood in the electrical box next to the battery and are marked in the cover.

A quick check to see if the crank sensor is working is again with the check engine light. if it is on with the KEY ON ENGINE OFF it should go out as you try starting the engine, if it does, the computer SHOULD be getting the signal.

Just some things to try!
