Couple questions here,

I have a 1992 F150 reg cab short box.
I'm peicing together parts to lift it, and have a few questions;

Am picking up sky manufacturing shackle flip kit this weekend. claims a 4.5" lift.

Have found a i beam drop bracket, 4", but for an f250. Now I'm told the f250 bracket bolts line up the same, its just 1" taller than f150 bracket, since the f250 is leaf sprung. so its a claimed 5" lift.

lastly I want to use the deaver 5.5" coils, if possible. since suspension travel is my main theme here.

So with the supposed 5" i beam drop bracket and a radius arm drop bracket to match (will get long arms in future), would the 5.5" coils work for my application? the half inch discrepency would result in the coil just collapsing to make up for it? or camber issues?

very green questions but hoping to learn how to peice this together.
thanks guys.:icon_hornsup:

a 1/2" difference won't make any change in camber that wouldn't be fixxed with an aglignment you will need after the lift anyways...

just make sure you get radius arm drop brackets as well since you won't be doin longer arms just yet...and the longer arms will give you the best flex...

thanks for the reply john, eases my mind.
and yeah still sourcing some radius arm brackets, got the rest of the parts scoped out though.

I guess Cage went outta business so not sure where to look for good set of long arms now..

ok another question, i'm looking at getting a set of fox remote resevoir shocks.

found a set for sale locally they are the 2.0 series, 22 1/4 tall, 8" travel.

i know nothing of shocks, so wonderin if 8" travel would work with my current height, or after lift, or what. and can that shock be run at stock height, AND lifted? or does the geometry of the shock not allow that.

nope! was looking for something fullsize pickup related. only knew of fullsizebronco and here.
thanks!
