1989 4x4 xlt 2.9 auto.I have a loose cab bolt on the pass side What is the simplest way to locate the bolt head inside the cab? I have rear jump seats but I cannot find the bolt head. What do I need to do?Thanks.

they are underneath the carpet.

under the carpet against the back of the cab there is a box member that crosses the back of the cab. on either side there is a rubber grommer cover and under that against the bottom of that box member are the blt heads.

the other bolts are under a screwed down sheetmetal cover (oval shaped)
under the carpet on the front foot wells.

If you bolts are loose you have a collapased mount.

The mounts are not "rubber" but rubber over an internal steel structure
the steel inside them rusts and the rubber can't support the weight.
