help with 1997 ranger 2.3 running rough

hi, new to the forum. i just bought a 1997 ranger with the 2.3, it has been running rough no power and the check engine light was on. i went to autozone and they pulled the codes (3) i dont remember which ones but what they looked up all pointed to the fuel pressure regulator.
i installed the new regulator and it ran great , disconnected the battery and reset the cel . two days later back to running rough.
can it be as simple as a bad fpr again or something else?

if the MIL isn't back on yet, check the truck for pending codes. either way, post up the what codes you've got.
