Help with 02 Sensors 93 Ranger 4.0 OHV

After some advice by @RonD with respect to possibly getting better gas mileage and after doing a full tuneup etc, I think I'm going to try changing the 02 sensors. I don't believe they were changed recently or ever at all. My gas mileage is very poor still at 11 city and 15 Hwy, even after the full tuneup and filter changes as well as changing the wires...

My question is are they both the same sensors or do they differ from one another. Also if anyone can provide links or info etc on what to buy, I'd appreciate it. I usually deal with Rock Auto. I'm not sure what sensors to buy. Thanks.

On the RockAuto website I just noticed that Bosch sells Federal Emissions 02 sensors and California Emissions, which one would I need..

Or there any differences between both of the 02 sensors.

As 93 is around the time they changed from one O2 to 2 of them, I'd suspect that the difference is in the length of wire attached. (Gotta have a longer wire on the single sensor style cause it's after the "Y".)

I know I've seen places selling "universal" O2 sensors just by thread size and wire number.

Not sure of what changes may have occurred between 93 and 94, if any. Maybe someone else can clarify.

On the topic of 02 sensors, in what I have read so far, are the only difference between the two sensors length? Nothing else? I'm looking at a pair on eBay now. The cost is $28 for the pair.

Wire length is the only difference, considering you currently live in NY and one would assume that the truck was purchased new here it is most likely CA emissions. It should say if it is California compliant on the emissions sticker under the hood but if that is missing another way to tell would be if it has an EGR valve, if it does, CA emissions.

My last experience with cheap o2's was that they didn't work. Best to buy a reputable brand and not have to worry about it.
