I took my 95 Ranger 3.0 to Pepboys to change the clutch slave. I opted to throw in a new Luk clutch pilot bearing, etc...
11 hours of labor later, they give it back to me and the clutch engagement is low and has a light feeling. I say bleed the clutch more with the trucks front end jacked up. They come back saying that my brand new Wagner clutch slave is faulty and I have to pay to get the whole thing redone
My problem is that the Wagner slave seemed like a quality part to me.
They say that they bench bled the slave like I asked them to.
They say that they put the bell housing in on the parts cleaner to clean it up.
I dont know what else could have gone wrong. How can I rule out that its not their fault?
I dont want to pay if its their fault.
I bought the part myself because they rip you off at pep boys on parts.
Thanks!
